We were doing just fine before we had an uninvited visitor (Coronavirus). Just when we’ve gotten a rhythm of things, we have to readjust to what will be our norm…for now! Gyms around the country have closed their doors for our best interest. This means we have to get creative to burn extra calories while at home. It can be unmotivating to workout at home but we can’t afford to backtrack on all the progress we’ve made.

Killer Playlist

It’s something similar to when you pregame before you hit the scene. Before head out we typically have music playing as we glam. The vibe is maintained as you drive to the party. Before your set time to exercise, start playing songs at least 30 minutes prior to the time you’ve set aside to workout because it gives you enough time to be in the mood. Your playlist sounds should be customized to the pace of your workout. If you intend to do something intense, your playlist should be high tempo. A speaker with a base is a must!!! This will get you grooving (warm up) and increase blood flow to your joints.

Block Time Slot

In order to curb the laziness, you carve out a maximum of two hours five days out of the time dedicated to working out. Remember, you do not have to workout the entire 2 hours. The time frame is set factoring delay start. Creating and sticking to a routine makes it easier for humans to follow through. Besides, you are committing this time for your mental health.

Gym Attire

Yes, still wear those cute workout clothes to workout from home. Don’t get lax on your outfit, sis! Continue to wear those sick compression along with tops that break necks. Truth is when we feel good about our outfit a good workout is guaranteed! If you are working on glutes, wear compressions that accentuate your rear end.

Optional: if you have a full body mirror use it so you can check your form and hat sick body.

Environment

Picking a good environment is key! Choose an area that allows you to move around. You want to prevent and not create injuries so keep clear of hazards. Personally, I suggest a room that is spacious with windows. Who doesn’t love sunlight or views? A room with a tall standing mirror is helpful to monitor form and booty.
